Very disappointing. The first few pages are thrilling because the reader is learning about Indian customs, then you realise the whole book is focused on customs. The main character is forced into uncharacteristic situations to force explanation Indian customs (through English eyes). No Character building, no depth and the characters use english idioms and tone. At the end of 560 pages I still have no clue who these characters are and have taken nothing from this book save a little insight on how Very disappointing. An example of a detached observation, sometimes hinting at disapproval/distaste of the customs the author decided to document in the form of a novel.

Like A Net of Dawn and Bones, Seeds of Blood covers more of what I wish I could find in urban fantasies on the shelf. Lone heroes holding back the dark makes fun reading, but if society as a whole has to deal with magic and monsters?

Long winded exposition act to establish lore. Fun times for a nerd like me. Action packed second half, though some of the perspectives used felt more distracting than necessary. Gotta love Aidan, he's my favorite.

In “The Darkest Hour” George opened the Magister Maleficorum, allowing the Blood Seed to flourish. The plant fed of the oxygen in the room and began to grow and fruit. Morgan bit into one of the fruits and was apparently consumed by the plant.

The Legend [ ]

The Blood Seed was the plant which was inside the Magister Maleficorum.

The Magister Maleficorum was supposed to contain all the evil in the entire universe. Inside the box was the Blood Seed, the fruits of which were said to grant the eater immense power and knowledge.

Series 5 [ ]

Later in the episode Morgan reappeared as part of the Blood Seed. He was defeated when the Draculas and their new allies combined their powers to imprison the Blood Seed inside a cake box.
