growing weed without fertilizer

This also tends to mean that you’re trying to grow with all-natural nutrients as opposed to using commercial/artificial mixes.

What Nutrients are we Talking About?

While not as guaranteed to produce quality results as super soil, there are plenty of good mass-produced brands not necessarily intended for marijuana growers, but which will work fine.

Use Premade Soil

When someone says “no nutrients,” what they often mean is that they’re planting in nutrient-rich soil, and then more or less leaving the plant alone.

all plants need NPK or they will just start, grow alittle and die.

If you check out the organic section you will see a lot of people who are growing with "super soil" which is highly amended poting soil that doesn’t need anything other than water to grow some great looking cannabis.

all plants need nutes, i use tap water myself but i let it sit for a few days before use to let the chlorine vapor off.
theres only calcium and some magnesium in tap water but those are just trace elements, and a trace is all a plant needs of some things.
but when it comes down to the NPK (nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) human assistance is needed.

No because cannabis will not grow without nutrients.

Soil has varying degrees of nutrients. A sterile "soilless" medium such as coco will have very little to no nutrients, while rich organic soil might have more than enough for a crop of cannabis. Even tap water has some nutrients in the form of dissolved solids.

This does not mean that it won’t grow without fertilizer, as not all nutrients are derived from fertilizer.
